Amy Kaur is an entrepreneurial civil engineer and strong community leader with the goal of inspiring more women to become engineers. As a founder of Engineering Gals, she has cultivated a global community of engineers focused on positive and empowering ecosystems for women in STEM. As a first generation American and college graduate, Amy strives to amplify underrepresented voices in STEM by hosting the Gals Chat podcast, live seminars and providing valuable resources for students and professionals.
Maritza is a civil engineer at the Port of Long Beach in Long Beach, California. Her specialty is in construction management, managing projects under construction.
As Co-founder of Engineering Gals, Maritza's objective is to empower and inspire women to pursue an engineering profession. Founded in 2016, Engineering Gals has reached a wide audience through Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Twitter.
Maritza graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2016 with a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering. She also pursued an education on entrepreneurship while studying engineering. Maritza combined her love for engineering and women empowerment by co-creating Engineering Gals.
